Toni Fehse


Toni Fehse was born in Leipzig in 1989 and has been playing the trumpet since the age of ten. His teachers included Matthias Wiedemann and Wilfried Thoß. An important mentor for him was Bernd Bartels (principal trumpet of the MDR Symphony Orchestra). Toni Fehse studied musicology in Leipzig and, from 2011 to 2013, trumpet at the Franz Liszt University of Music in Weimar with Professor Uwe Komischke. After changing his place of study, he was a student of Professor Tobias Willner (principal trumpet of the Staatskapelle Dresden) at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music in Dresden from 2013 to 2016. Engagements have taken him to, among others, the Central German Chamber Philharmonic, the Theater & Philharmonie Thüringen Gera, the Erfurt Opera, the Dresden State Operetta, and the New Lusatian Philharmonic Görlitz. In 2013, Toni Fehse also made his debut as a soloist with the Baroque orchestra "Concerto Brandenburg" in Berlin. Since 2015, Toni Fehse has taught trumpet at the Heinrich Schütz Conservatory in Dresden and at the Sächsische Schweiz Music School in Sebnitz.
