The young musicians Toni Fehse and Jonas Wilfert particularly appreciate this sonic experience and perform together with great passion. In numerous concerts, it has always been their great aim to ignite this spark in the audience. They met in 2008 in Wurzen at a rather spontaneous concert. Since then, playing music together and discovering new and unknown works has brought them closer together, both as friends and as musicians. Currently, Fehse and Wilfert are venturing beyond the "familiar paths" for trumpet and organ and exploring new territory – namely, Romantic music. There are hardly any original works from this era for this instrumentation. The Romantic pieces in their current program are therefore (mostly) their own arrangements. However, the repertoire of the ensemble "Fehse – Wilfert" encompasses much more than Romantic music. Works by Johann Sebastian Bach, George Frideric Handel, and other renowned composers of the Baroque era are performed, as well as music by composers such as Maurice Ravel and Georg Delerue from the 20th century. Whenever the opportunity arises, the duo also enjoys performing some of their arrangements for trumpet and piano.
